Jerusalem Public Spaces Lie Barren as Flowers Die and Go Months Without Replacement

In various areas of Jerusalem, the colorful annual flowers that once adorned public spaces have withered and gone months without being replaced. Instead of vibrant blooms, some neighborhoods have seen the introduction of pre-made carpets of living grass. While these grassy areas add greenery, they require significant amounts of water and regular mowing to maintain.

One notable example is Elie Wiesel Plaza in the Yefe Nof neighborhood, where flower beds have been left empty, resulting in a flower-free environment.
