The Srinagar Police have attached a three-storey house valued at approximately ₹2 crore, linked to the family of designated terrorist Sajad Ahmad Sheikh, alias Sajad Gul. This action was taken on Saturday as part of ongoing efforts to dismantle terror networks and disrupt their financial infrastructure in Kashmir.

The property, situated on 15 marlas of land at Rose Avenue in HMT, Khushipora, is registered in the name of Gul’s father, Ghulam Mohammad Sheikh. Investigations revealed that despite the registration, Sajad Gul actively used the house to facilitate terror-related activities.

**Legal Proceedings and Property Attachment**

The attachment was carried out under Section 25 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA). This decision follows an FIR filed at Parimpora Police Station under multiple sections of the UAPA and the Explosives and Improvised Explosive Devices Control and Management Act (EIMCO Act). The entire process was supervised by an Executive Magistrate to ensure due legal compliance.

**Sajad Gul’s Role in Terrorism**

Authorities have highlighted that Sajad Gul has played a significant role in propagating anti-India sentiment, inciting violence, and facilitating terrorism through online platforms, including social media channels. The police emphasized that this step is part of a broader campaign aimed at choking off the financial and logistical support systems sustaining terrorism in the region.

**Strict Warning from Srinagar Police**

The Srinagar Police have issued a stern warning that individuals who support or abet terrorism will face stringent legal action. This includes the attachment and forfeiture of properties acquired through unlawful means, reinforcing the administration’s commitment to curbing terrorism in Kashmir.

This move underscores the government’s resolve to combat terrorism by targeting not only the operatives but also their financial networks, thereby aiming to restore peace and security in the region.
