Seahawks Hit With Brutal Knee Injury Blow to Starting Lineman, IR on Table
Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald said Monday that starting center Jalen Sundell will be out “multiple weeks” with a knee injury suffered in Seattle’s Week 10 win over the Cardinals. He added that placing Sundell on injured reserve is “under consideration,” but emphasized the injury is not viewed as season-ending “as of today.” “It’s his knee,” Macdonald said, calling Sundell “tough as [expletive]. We’ll see. Hopefully we’ll get him back.” The post Seahawks Hit With Brutal Knee Injury Blow to Starting Lineman, IR on Table appeared first on Heavy Sports.

New World: Aeternum Season 10 will be the last content update for Amazon’s MMORPG
With news of massive layoffs coming to parts of Amazon’s corporate business, the company has also turned its baleful gaze towards its gaming division and announced that their MMORPG New World will no longer receive content updates after the recently released Season 10: Nighthaven content has run its course. This isn’t an end of service notice just yet, with the companion FAQ stating that servers will be live through 2026 at least, and they will provide at least six months’ notice of a server shutdown. Because of that, and with the Nighthaven seasonal content still planned to roll out gradually, the New World is remaining on sale and part of the PS Plus library, and microtransaction currency will still be available, though the appeal of the game and player base will no doubt dwindle through the coming months. We also await news of Amazon Game Studios’ future with dread. New World arrived with a huge bang in 2021, as Amazon brought its fantasy colonialist MMORPG to PC, racing to a huge peak of over 900, 000 concurrent players that pushed the servers beyond the limit. Perhaps a lot of expectation was put internally on the potential of the console port, which arrived with a major game overhaul last September in the form of New World: Aeternum, but on PC at least, the game has spent much of this year with daily peak player counts below 10, 000, jumping up to 50, 000 with the new Nighthaven update. That’s roughly comparable with a Fallout 76 or Elder Scrolls: Online, so could easily have been sustainable depending on development expenditure, but it’s half of where Destiny 2 commonly is right now, and that game is widely regarded as being in serious trouble. The announcement reads: As New World recognizes its fourth anniversary since launching on PC, we reflect on an incredible journey shaped by our dedicated player community. Your feedback and passion have been instrumental in evolving Aeternum into the world it is today, and our team is deeply grateful for this shared adventure. After four years of steady content updates and a major new console release, we’ve reached a point where it is no longer sustainable to continue supporting the game with new content updates. The recently launched Season 10 and Nighthaven update will serve as the final content release for New World on PC and consoles. It is only after much consideration that we’ve reached this decision. To thank you, the New World community, for your support over the years, we have made the Nighthaven release available to you for free. To ensure all New World players can experience this content, we also made Rise of the Angry Earth free for all PC players. In the coming months, we will provide more details on what to expect and other essential information. Rest assured, our intention is to keep servers operating through 2026, allowing our community time to continue their adventures in Aeternum. Additionally, New World: Aeternum will still be downloadable for PlayStation Plus members (Extra and Premium). Players of Aeternum: Your dedication and enthusiasm have made this New World adventure an unforgettable journey. We’re deeply grateful for every moment you’ve spent helping build this extraordinary world alongside us. It has been an honor to share Aeternum with you, thank you for helping make this game something truly special. Head here for the full FAQ of the game’s future.
All major changes coming in Battlefield 6 Update 1.1.1.0
The first major update for Battlefield 6 is almost here, aiming to reshape how the game is played, how missions are completed, and what part bots have to play in all of that. It’s also coming alongside the game’s first season, which itself brings a lot of content. So, here are all the biggest changes in Update 1. 1. 1. 0 in BF6. Table of contents All the biggest changes in the Battlefield 6 Oct. 28 update Season 1 is finally here Movement, combat, and hit reg are getting smoothed over Various visibility and gameplay improvements to the HUD, UI, and the maps themselves The death of bot XP farms and progression overhaul All the biggest changes in the Battlefield 6 Oct. 28 update Season 1 is finally here The first season is coming alongside the new patch. 1. 1. 0, the first Season of Battlefield 6 is going live. It’ll start a few hours after the patch goes through, allowing everyone to get geared up and ready for a new map, vehicles, and other content. We’ll initially get the Blackwell Fields, which now has a new and flashy trailer, an extra ground vehicle (a jeep), and several new weapons, including a rifle, a sniper rifle, and a handgun. The season’s start will also mark the arrival of the first skins to the game, which are a bit colorful but retain the grittiness and realism that Battlefield 6 has been aiming for. Additional seasonal content will come in the coming months, so stay tuned for that. Movement, combat, and hit reg are getting smoothed over Many guns are being tweaked to align them with intended behavior, while shooting should feel more responsive. These chiefly relate to gun handling, aim dispersion, and hit registry, which haven’t been consistent enough since launch. EA has looked into these problems and is introducing tweaks to several systems, including “improved movement and animations” that’ll reduce the bouncing and floating issues, and “reworked weapon dispersion” that aligns gun behavior to what its description and design state, especially in cases of shooting after sprinting. Hits should also register more consistently after the update goes live, which’ll ensure your bullets don’t just disappear into an enemy instead of hitting them. Various visibility and gameplay improvements to the HUD, UI, and the maps themselves Tanks and vehicles refused to spawn on some maps, which should no longer be an issue as of Oct. 28. Smokes and lighting should also behave more consistently now but will be less persistent, clouding areas for much shorter and thus impacting any given area to a lesser degree. Some maps that were bogged down by vehicles refusing to spawn, like Mirak Valley’s Breakthrough version, will now function as intended and enable both sides to fight it out fair and square, instead of one team being limited by, essentially, a game-breaking bug. The death of bot XP farms and progression overhaul See this map? You no longer have to grind bots on it 24/7. Those servers who still run bots will award less XP overall, with most XP bonuses not applying to them. Progression itself will be significantly overhauled, with some missions and assignments requiring up to 90 percent less effort than their launch counterparts, which should discourage players from looking for nefarious means to complete them. BF6’s assignments were a major downside of the game, which Update 1. 1. 1. 0 aims to address. These are just some of the countless changes and tweaks coming with this patch, so you can check out the full notes on this link. Like our content? Trump hit with another court block in bid to deploy troops to Portland
The U. S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit just temporarily paused a ruling from a split three-judge panel that would have allowed President Donald Trump to call up the National Guard in Portland, Oregon, against protesters at that city’s Immigration and Customs Enforcement facility. That means that, for the time being, Trump remains stymied from calling up the Guard in Portland. According to Law Dork’s Chris Geidner, “A resolution on en banc consideration is expected(?) to happen by 5p Tuesday” meaning the appellate court will decide to rehear the case before every judge on the court, as opposed to the three-judge panel dominated by two of Trump’s own appointees. The Ninth Circuit as a whole has a majority of Democratic appointees and is often skeptical of Trump’s policies in legal challenges. Trump was initially blocked from the deployment by U. S. District Judge Karin Immergut, herself a Trump appointee, who in a blistering decision found that none of the facts on the ground supported Trump’s claim that a rebellion was underway. The initial Ninth Circuit reversal of this ruling was met with heavy criticism from legal experts, who noted that the majority was substituting their own opinions for the factual findings of the lower court.
