The LPGA Tour has announced a multi-year media deal with U-NEXT ahead of the 2026 season. The new partnership will focus on broadening the coverage of the game, as U-NEXT will exclusively stream the LPGA and the women’s major championships in Japan. On Tuesday, November 18, the LPGA announced in an official statement that it was signing U-NEXT as its official streamer in Japan. “As we close a record-breaking season that’s already seen six different Japanese winners, it’s fitting to announce the largest international streaming partnership in LPGA history with U-NEXT,” LPGA Commissioner Craig Kessler said in official statement. “This partnership will allow us to expand our reach and deepen our connection with fans across Japan, while showcasing the incredible talent, Japanese and global, competing on the LPGA Tour. We’re thrilled to partner with U-NEXT as we continue to grow women’s professional golf in Japan and around the world,” he added. From 2026, U-NEXT will be home for LPGA Tour events, along with the women’s and men’s major championships, the PGA Tour, the JLPGA Tour, the DP World Tour, the Ladies European Tour (LET), the Asian Tour, and TGL. LPGA Tour signs new deal with Golf Channel to take the broadcast to next level The LPGA also announced another deal with Golf Channel and property insurer FM Global to transform broadcast coverage. After the new deal, all four rounds of the events will be aired live, and camera coverage will be increased by 50 percent. Besides, the Trackman tracing technology is also set to quadruple in 2026. “We are proud to take our partnership with the LPGA to an even higher level by supporting the transformation of the LPGA Tour’s broadcast, athlete and fan experience for the 2026 season and beyond,” Malcolm Roberts, chairman and chief executive officer of FM, said in official release Following this deal, FM Global is all set to become an official partner of the LPGA. For the uninitiated, the company already hosts the FM Global Championship since 2024. Commissioner Mollie Marcoux Samaan said that fans will start feeling the difference from the start of 2026. “More cameras, better technology, richer storytelling and more ways to appreciate the unbelievable skill of our players, fully live. We’re grateful for the shared vision and investment from FM, Trackman and Golf Channel. This is a major step forward for the women’s game, and it’s only the beginning. The next chapter for the LPGA is going to be something special,” he added. The LPGA is currently in Naples, Florida, for the CME Group Tour Championship, where the 60 qualified golfers are in action for the season finale event.
