A reliable source informed Bollywood Hungama, “*Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat’s* story was actually written many years ago. At one point, the film was to be directed by the late Nishikant Kamat, known for hits like *Drishyam* (2015) and *Force* (2011). Abhishek Bachchan was supposed to play the lead role. The story and screenplay were penned by Milap Zaveri and Mushtaq Sheikh, while Milap also wrote the dialogues.”
The source added, “However, due to unforeseen reasons, the film never materialized back then. After many years, Milap Zaveri decided to revive the project, this time taking on the role of director himself. Before proceeding, he sought Abhishek Bachchan’s approval. Abhishek was more than happy to support Milap’s decision and graciously gave him the green light to move forward with *Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat*. He also extended his best wishes for the film’s success. This is the reason behind Abhishek being thanked in the credits.”
