How to Complete the Grave Robbin’ Quest in World of Warcraft

Grave Robbin’ is a World of Warcraft quest that became available during the Legion expansion and is also playable in Legion Remix. However, this short quest has left many new players completely stumped. It ultimately leads into a rewarding quest chain worth completing, but its objectives have confused players on and off for years. Even today, it’s not entirely clear where you need to go to complete it.

If you’re struggling to figure out where to go for Grave Robbin’ in World of Warcraft, this guide will help you get there.

Getting Started with Grave Robbin’

If you’re playing in Legion Remix, you’ll first need to wait until you can access the Broken Shore before starting this quest. Once you are able to get there, here’s what you need to know:

Quest Location: You can pick up Grave Robbin’ at the Broken Shore, coordinates (39.6, 71.6), from the NPC Excavator Karla.
Objective: Your main goal is to find and open a treasure chest.

However, before you can start Grave Robbin’, you’ll need to complete a few prerequisite quests in the Excavations storyline, including:

The Motherlode
We’re Treasure Hunters
Ship Graveyard
Tomb Raidering

These quests also start from Excavator Karla at the same location.

Where to Find the Treasure Chest

Once you’re ready to complete Grave Robbin’, travel to coordinates (50.4, 46.5) on the map, in the Soul Ruin area. There you’ll find the treasure chest inside a small hole within a demonic building.

The chest is clearly visible, and when you open it, you’ll encounter Treasure Master Iks’reeged, who has already looted the valuable items. What you get instead is the Promising Treasure Key.
