KISS Guitarist Ace Frehley Reportedly On Life Support After Tragic Medical Crisis

KISS guitarist Ace Frehley is reportedly on life support after suffering a brain bleed from a fall. Sources close to the famous musician and original lead guitarist for the iconic rock band revealed that he fell while in his studio several weeks ago. Since the incident, he has canceled his upcoming tour dates, according to TMZ.

The outlet reported on October 16 that Frehley’s condition has not improved and he remains on a ventilator. Unfortunately, his prognosis is not good. TMZ’s sources also suggested that the star’s family is considering turning off life support, with the grave decision possibly being made as soon as Thursday evening.

TMZ debunked social media reports claiming that Frehley had already passed away, clarifying that he was still on the ventilator as recently as Thursday afternoon.

A statement was issued to Frehley’s official Instagram page on September 25, mentioning the fall but downplaying the severity of his injury. It read, “He is fine, but against his wishes, his doctor insists that he refrain from travel at this time.”

An update shared a week later stated, “Due to some ongoing medical issues, Ace has made the difficult decision to cancel the remainder of his 2025 dates.”

Ace Frehley was a founding member of KISS alongside Gene Simmons, Paul Stanley, and Peter Criss. He played with the band from 1973 to 1982, showcasing his exceptional talents on the guitar. Frehley ultimately left the band amid creative differences and struggles with substance abuse.

After departing KISS, he carved out a solo career by founding the band Frehley’s Comet. He lent his talents to iconic hits such as “Rock and Roll All Nite,” “I Was Made for Lovin’ You,” and “Detroit Rock City.”

Our thoughts are with Ace Frehley and his family during this difficult time.
