**Mahesh Bhatt Says Granddaughter Raha Can ‘Replace’ Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt**

Veteran filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt recently shared his thoughts about his granddaughter, Raha Kapoor, in an interview with Navbharat Times. He expressed his belief that Raha could one day “replace” her famous parents, actors Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt.
“Raha is about to turn three. I say she will replace Ranbir and Alia! She has that kind of energy,” Bhatt remarked, highlighting the unique spirit he sees in his granddaughter.

Mahesh Bhatt described Raha as a “crossbreed” and “very special,” noting her embodiment of India’s rich cultural fusion, often referred to as the Ganga-Jamuni culture.
“Every generation is faster and ahead of the previous one. When I see Raha, I feel she has a unique energy,” he added, emphasizing the pride he feels in the cultural heritage passed down through his family, especially influenced by his Muslim mother.

In the same interview, Bhatt also praised his daughters for successfully carrying forward his legacy in their own distinct ways.
He acknowledged Pooja Bhatt for carving out her own identity and path, while commending Shaheen Bhatt as an incredible writer who confronts depression with courage. Mentioning Alia Bhatt, he highlighted her excellence in motherhood.
“I’m proud that all three are exceptional and live life on their own terms,” he stated confidently.
