**Pimpri-Chinchwad: Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) Organizes Protest Demanding Farmer Compensation and Loan Waiver**
The Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) Pimpri-Chinchwad city unit held a protest march on Wednesday in front of the Tehsildar’s office in Nigdi. The demonstration aimed to demand adequate compensation for farmers affected by excessive rainfall and a complete loan waiver for farmers across Maharashtra.
In recent days, heavy rains have battered various parts of the state, disrupting daily life and causing severe losses to the farming community. Shiv Sena (UBT) workers highlighted these challenges and urged the state government to provide fair and timely compensation to the affected farmers.
Moreover, the party called for a full and unconditional loan waiver for farmers, emphasizing the need to alleviate their financial burdens in this crisis. The protest march served as a platform to press these demands.
Key attendees at the event included District Chief Gautam Chabukswar, City Chief Sanjog Waghere Patil, and City Organiser Rupali Alhat. They were joined by Chetan Pawar, Romi Sandhu, Vaibhavi Ghodke, Tushar Navale, Dhananjay Alhat, Kailas Nevaskar, Yuvraj Kokate, Dnyaneshwar Shinde, Parth Gurav, and other officials and party workers.
### Opposition Demands Full Loan Waiver for Farmers
Opposition parties in Maharashtra have repeatedly called for a full loan waiver to support farmers during these difficult times. The Shiv Sena (UBT) has consistently raised this issue, referencing their own government’s previous efforts in this regard.
Recently, speaking to the media in Pune, NCP-SP MP Supriya Sule also demanded a complete loan waiver, stressing, “Farmers need this.” She added that the Maharashtra government should prioritize the welfare of farmers and provide necessary assistance to help them recover from their losses.
The ongoing demands from various political entities underscore the urgent need for government intervention to support the farming community affected by natural calamities across Maharashtra.
