Ram Charan’s highly anticipated sports drama *Peddi*, directed by Buchi Babu Sana, is reportedly facing delays in its shooting schedule. Originally planned to wrap up by October 2025, sources now suggest that production may extend until January 2026 due to the film’s elaborate scale and meticulous attention to detail. This delay could impact the planned release date of March 27, 2026.
**Production Details: Scale Beyond Initial Plans**
A source close to the production revealed that the scope of *Peddi* has expanded significantly. “The scale of *Peddi* has grown far beyond the initial plan. Every schedule has been extended because of the detailing involved—from action choreography to the period setting. The team doesn’t want to compromise on authenticity,” they explained.
Filming is taking place across Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam, and Rajahmundry, featuring elaborate sets that recreate a coastal town from the 1980s, enhancing the film’s period feel.
**Ram Charan’s Deep Involvement**
The source also highlighted Ram Charan’s active participation in every stage of the project. “Even Buchi Babu is reviewing footage, discussing the tone, and reworking scenes that don’t meet his standards. Naturally, that takes more time,” they noted.
In addition to managing his role in *Peddi*, Charan is balancing brand endorsements and preparing for his next film with director Sukumar. However, this upcoming project has been pushed to mid-2026 due to *Peddi*’s extended schedule.

Despite the setbacks, the makers are still targeting a March 2026 release to coincide with Ram Charan’s birthday. A production team associate commented, “The delay is not due to disorganization but ambition. When you have someone like Ram Charan, who is coming off *RRR* and stepping into a completely new zone, you want every frame to look world-class.”
However, the compressed timeline will leave a very narrow window for post-production work, adding to the pressure to meet the release deadline.
