On October 2, the UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) lifted its retail investor ban on crypto exchange-traded products. This marks the first time since 2021 that UK consumers can access regulated Bitcoin and Ethereum-connected products.
However, delays in regulatory approvals mean that investors will have to wait longer before they can start trading these products.
