Samsung is expanding the reach of the One UI 8 update for the Galaxy A53. After initially releasing the update in Europe, the company has now rolled it out in select Asian and North American countries. The update is expected to reach more regions in the coming days.
### Galaxy A53 Receives Android 16 and One UI 8.0
The Android 16-based One UI 8.0 update is currently available for the Galaxy A53 in India and the USA.
– In India, the update comes with the firmware version **A536EXXUHGYI9** and includes the **September 2025 security patch**.
– In the USA, it is available on Verizon’s network with firmware version **A536VSQUIGYJ2**, featuring the **October 2025 security patch**.
If you are a Galaxy A53 user in any of these countries, check your phone for the update by navigating to:
**Settings > Software update > Download and install.**
Once the over-the-air (OTA) update is fully downloaded, tap **Install now** to begin the installation process.
