Here are a few driver-approved ways to make their days a little brighter this season.
## Amazon’s Special Promotion
Amazon’s fast shipping is thanks to its drivers, who work hard to deliver your last-minute holiday gifts in a jiffy. To show Amazon drivers some extra gratitude, visit the Amazon “Thank Your Driver” page, available on Amazon’s website or app. Simply click the bright yellow button that says “Thank my driver.” This instantly sends your driver a gratitude notification and gives them a chance to win Amazon-sponsored prizes.
Each December, Amazon offers a $5 tip to drivers who receive the first two million thanks of the holiday season. Though that promotion ends soon after it begins, it’s still worth using the Thank Your Driver page. Every day from now until Dec. 31, Amazon is awarding 1,250 drivers with the most “thank you”s a $100 cash prize. Make sure to thank your driver within 14 days of your delivery date—it will automatically go to your most recent driver. If you have multiple holiday packages arriving, remember to thank each driver.

The official Thank Your Driver promotion is only available to Amazon employees, but there are plenty of ways to show your appreciation to delivery drivers from other companies too.
### Set Up a Fuel Station
A popular way to thank delivery drivers is by setting out a stand with travel snacks and drinks. Opt for sealed, store-bought options like chips, granola bars, candy, or jerky—foods they can eat quickly and without utensils. Holiday cookies or other nonperishable treats are a nice touch as well. Include bottles of water or soda for hydration.
Be sure to bring items inside once deliveries are done for the day to prevent critters from getting into the snacks—and to keep drinks from freezing overnight.
### Offer Other Thoughtful Goodies
Small items such as Band-Aids, miniature first-aid kits, hand warmers, and hand sanitizer are also sure to be appreciated. Leave a sign with your goodies so drivers know they’re welcome to take them.
## For the Mail Carrier
Your USPS mail carrier may never see your front door, but you can still thank them. Most people have the same carrier each day, making it easy to slip a thank-you note or small holiday gift inside the mailbox. Be sure to clearly label it for your mail person. Alternatively, you can drop off a gift at your local post office.
