Beer Shortages Hit Japan’s Izakayas

Beer deliveries from Asahi Group Holdings have been disrupted following a ransomware cyberattack, causing shortages that have already begun to affect izakaya and other establishments across Japan. Mumbai Custodial Death Case: Special CBI Court Convicts 2 Policemen For Torturing Detainee, Sentences Them To 7 Years In Jail

In a rare instance, the special CBI court on Tuesday convicted two police officials for custodial torture following which a detainee died on September 11, 2009. The two have been sentenced to seven years in jail with a fine of Rs 62,000 each, of which Rs 1 lakh will be paid to deceased Altaf Shaikh’s mother.
