Pakistan leg-spinner Abrar Ahmed and his Sri Lankan counterpart Wanindu Hasaranga showcased a brilliant camaraderie following their entertaining banter during the Asia Cup 2025 Super 4 game at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi.

Cameras captured a lighthearted moment between the two leggies as they shared a laugh over their wicket celebrations. Abrar playfully mimicked Hasaranga’s signature celebration after dismissing the Sri Lankan wrist-spinner cheaply in the first innings.

However, Hasaranga quickly returned the favor. After taking a stunning catch off Maheesh Theekshana’s bowling to dismiss Fakhar Zaman, the 28-year-old leg-spinner repeated the celebration gesture. He also performed it once more after bowling an outstanding delivery to castled Pakistan’s Saim Ayub, while Abrar watched on from the dugout.

Despite the on-field competition, the respect and friendship between Abrar Ahmed and Wanindu Hasaranga were evident. After the match concluded, the two embraced warmly, showing the true spirit of sportsmanship.
