Eagles RB Receives Big NFL Honor Despite Team’s Offensive Struggles

The Philadelphia Eagles fell to the Dallas Cowboys 24-21 on Sunday, Nov. 23. While people point fingers at who’s to blame for the loss, there’s one gleam of hope for the team right now. According to Pro Football Focus, Eagles running back Tank Bigsby is the No. 1 rated running back in the NFL. This move proved a much-needed depth to the running back position behind Saquon Barkley. While this is great, it doesn’t necessarily solve the Eagles’ obvious offensive issues. Against the Cowboys, the Eagles struggled in the pass and rush game. Last season, this wasn’t the case for Barkley. Right now, Bigsby has had the longest run in each of the last two games for the Eagles, as Barkley looks different this year. He ran eight yards against the Cowboys compared to Barkley’s seven yards. “Obviously, we want to go out and put our best effort out at every point, and I felt like when I watched the tape, I saw the effort sky high on both sides of the ball [and] on special teams. Obviously, they went and they got the win. There are always things that factor into it as far as our determination, our effort. I saw that it was high and we all have to be there.” Head coach Nick Sirianni said. “Saquon felt something last night and he’s got a great pulse for everything. But as you look at the tape– which obviously after the game, we don’t have the luxury of looking at the tape before we go in and talk to you guys, but I felt like the effort was really, really high in that game. Hats off to Dallas, they played a good game and they got us.” Sirianni said. Barkley ranks 69th on Pro Football Focus’ list.
