KuCoin Institutional, the dedicated institutional division of global crypto exchange KuCoin, has announced a strategic partnership with Cactus Custody, the digital asset custody arm of Matrixport. Cactus Custody currently safeguards billions of dollars in assets and is recognized for its robust security infrastructure.
This collaboration brings Cactus Custody’s Off-Exchange Settlement (OES) solution, known as Cactus Oasis, directly to the KuCoin platform. Through this integration, institutional and qualified clients can trade across KuCoin’s spot, margin, options, and perpetual futures markets without the need to pre-fund their exchange wallets. Instead, client assets remain securely stored within Cactus Custody’s regulated custody infrastructure until execution, ensuring proper asset segregation and enhanced protection.
Cactus Custody’s framework incorporates advanced security measures, including multi-signature wallets, cold storage mechanisms, and ISO-certified protocols. This comprehensive setup allows institutions to optimize capital efficiency, access liquidity, and maintain strict adherence to custody and compliance standards.
