TMZ.com reports that Danielle Fishel’s recent exit from “Dancing with the Stars” has been a big deal for fans — so much so that even her adversary, Maitland Ward, was visibly bummed.
We caught up with Maitland outside Kings Road Coffee and Café on Wednesday, where she shared her thoughts on Danielle’s performance this season. Despite the well-known bad blood between the two “Boy Meets World” stars, Maitland expressed admiration for Danielle’s impressive run on the celebrity competition show.
“Danielle really had her eye on the prize,” Maitland told us. She emphasized the importance of women supporting women, especially in Hollywood. However, Maitland also offered some minor suggestions on how Danielle might have avoided being eliminated.
This development is particularly noteworthy given the history between the actresses. Earlier this year, they clashed during a firestorm podcast, airing old grievances that led to a pretty ugly fallout.
But Maitland sees a silver lining in Danielle’s “DWTS” journey. She told TMZ that this might be the opening both of them need to finally let go of their grudge and become friends once again.
