Gorham Volleyball Team Secures Third Straight Class A Title
The Gorham volleyball team has once again claimed the top spot in Class A. On Saturday, the Rams secured their third consecutive Class A championship at the University of Southern Maine by defeating Thornton Academy with a 3-1 victory.
Gorham started strong, winning the first two sets 25-20 and 25-23. Thornton Academy fought back to take the third set 25-21, but the Rams closed out the match with a 25-18 win in the fourth set.
Key contributors for Gorham included Abigail Stevens, who recorded nine kills, while Liana Edwards and Ava DeVinney each added seven kills. For Thornton Academy, Marta Semino led the effort with 11 kills.
