**Intentional Explosion Investigated at Harvard Medical School Building in Boston**

*Nov. 1 (UPI)* – The FBI, along with local and university police, is investigating an intentional explosion that occurred early Saturday morning on the fourth floor of the Harvard Medical School building in Boston.

The explosion took place at 2:48 a.m. EDT in the medical school’s Goldenson Building, triggering a fire alarm that alerted university police, according to The New York Times.

A Harvard University Police officer responded promptly to the building located at 220 Longwood Ave. Upon arrival, the officer observed two individuals running from the scene. Although the officer attempted to stop them, the individuals escaped. Shortly after, evidence of the explosion was found on the fourth floor, as reported by The Boston Globe.

The Boston Fire Department, including its arson unit, also responded to the alarm and determined that the explosion was likely intentional. Boston police conducted a thorough search of the building for any additional explosive devices but found none.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported during the incident. The FBI is actively assisting with the ongoing investigation.

University police have released video stills of the two suspects captured by surveillance cameras. The suspects appear to be young, white males wearing light-colored masks while fleeing the building. One suspect was seen wearing a brown hooded sweatshirt with what appeared to be “NYC” printed on the front, khaki pants, and gray Crocs. The other suspect wore a dark hooded sweatshirt and dark plaid pajama pants.
