How to call in a UAV – Battlefield 6

The Recon class features a powerful UAV drone that players can call in during multiplayer matches. This drone will spot and mark any enemy within 100 meters of your location for 60 seconds, providing a significant tactical advantage.

### How to Call in a UAV

To unlock and call in the UAV, you need to max out the Recon training path during a match. Once fully unlocked, you can deploy the UAV by pressing the **6** key on PC or both bumpers on a controller (**RB + LB** for Xbox or **R1 + L1** for PlayStation).

### Understanding the Training Path (Field Specs)

The training path, also known as the Field Specs, is displayed on the right side of your screen as a series of boxes. These boxes represent passive benefits that you unlock by earning XP during the match.

As you accumulate XP, the lowest box will start filling up. Once a box is completely filled, it locks in, granting you the associated benefit. Your XP will then begin filling the next box, continuing up the path until you reach the UAV unlock at the top.

### Important Tip: XP Decay

One challenging aspect of unlocking the UAV is that your XP progress slowly decays over time if a box is not locked in. For example, if you are halfway through filling the UAV box and stop earning XP for a short period, your progress will start to drain. This makes consistent play and continuous action essential to quickly unlocking and calling in the UAV.

By understanding how the training path works and maintaining a steady flow of XP, you can effectively use the Recon class’s UAV drone to gain vital intel on enemy positions.
