MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine Navy has spotted barriers near Panatag (Scarborough) Shoal while investigating reports about underwater structures in the area.
Rear Adm. Roy Vincent Trinidad, spokesperson for the West Philippine Sea, shared this information during a press briefing held on Tuesday at Camp Aguinaldo.
He added that members of the Northern Luzon Naval Command were the ones who noticed the barriers, highlighting ongoing monitoring efforts in the region.
