**Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh):** Ahead of the Chief Minister’s scheduled conference on October 7, officers at Police Headquarters (PHQ) are diligently collecting records of their achievements. Over the past week, senior officials from various branches have been preparing detailed performance reports to be presented during the meeting. Many officers have been working late into the night to finalize these important documents.
### Focus Areas for the Upcoming Conference
**DGP Office:**
The department will highlight new initiatives aimed at improving policing and crime control through regular monitoring. Special emphasis will be placed on the efforts of the Dial 112 emergency response system.
**PTRI, Selection & Recruitment:**
Reports will cover the successful completion of the 2023 recruitment drive, along with a notification for filling 8,000 of the 8,500 posts projected for 2025. Additionally, the establishment of the Police Board and various traffic improvement campaigns will be presented.
**Narcotics:**
The global reach of recent anti-drug campaigns will be showcased, including actions taken against traffickers and significant property confiscations valued at over Rs 100 crore.
**Welfare & Crimes Against Women:**
Improvements in healthcare facilities for police staff, introduction of cashless treatment schemes, directives for thorough investigations of crimes under the POCSO Act, and new welfare initiatives will be highlighted.
**Training & Complaints:**
Innovations implemented in police training schools will be shared, along with information about complaints received during public hearings and the prompt actions taken in response.
**Administration:**
For the first time in the state, the transfer of 11,000 officers who have been posted long-term at the same stations will be undertaken. The removal of personnel involved in serious crimes will also be presented.
**SC Welfare (AJK):**
The report will include data on crimes registered in AJK police stations over the past three years, actions taken, and convictions secured in criminal cases.
This comprehensive performance review is expected to provide valuable insights during the Chief Minister’s conference, reflecting the police department’s commitment to enhanced law enforcement and public welfare.
