MANILA, Philippines — Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) President Jose Arnulfo Veloso has defended the pension fund’s investments in Alternergy Holdings Corp. and DigiPlus Interactive Corp., highlighting significant windfall gains from both listed companies.
Veloso revealed that the GSIS has already earned P139 million from its stake in the online gaming firm DigiPlus. Additionally, the pension fund’s P1.45-billion investment in Alternergy, a company focused on renewable energy, has also contributed positively to its portfolio.
These investments underscore the GSIS’s strategy to diversify and generate substantial returns for its members.
