KT Tunstall to Celebrate 20th Anniversary of *Eye To The Telescope* with Australia & New Zealand Tour in May 2026
Scottish singer-songwriter KT Tunstall will mark the 20th anniversary of her breakthrough debut album, *Eye To The Telescope*, with an Australian and New Zealand tour in May 2026. For the first time ever, she will perform the platinum-selling album in full.
Earlier this year, KT graced local stages supporting Train in a stripped-back duo mode. These intimate shows reignited her connection with fans across the region and left audiences yearning for more. In 2026, she returns with her full band to revisit the record that launched her from busker to global star.
Released in December 2004, *Eye To The Telescope* quickly became one of the defining albums of the 2000s. The album produced worldwide hits such as “Black Horse and the Cherry Tree” and “Suddenly I See,” tracks that cemented Tunstall’s place in pop-rock history.
“Suddenly I See” achieved cult status after featuring in the opening sequence of *The Devil Wears Prada* and earned KT an Ivor Novello Award. Meanwhile, songs like “Other Side of the World” and “Universe & U” found renewed popularity through appearances on *Grey’s Anatomy*. The album has sold over 4 million copies worldwide and reached five times platinum status in the UK alone.
For many fans, *Eye To The Telescope* remains a soundtrack to their lives – songs that have carried them through heartbreak, triumphs, and everything in between.
Reflecting on this milestone, KT says:
“When I made my very first record, *Eye To The Telescope*, it never crossed my mind where I might be when it turned 20. It was a fantastically scrappy album to make, with very little money and a handful of musician friends. Over the years I’ve been told the most amazing stories about what these songs mean to people all over the world – how they’ve kept them company through love and loss, through being lost and getting found. Needless to say, it’s been a beautiful thrill.”
KT Tunstall’s live reputation has only grown stronger over the past two decades. Known for her inventive use of loop pedals, rich storytelling, and charisma, her concerts blend infectious energy with intimate connection.
The 20th anniversary tour offers a rare opportunity to hear *Eye To The Telescope* performed in its entirety by the artist who first brought these songs to life on the streets of Edinburgh—before they became global anthems.
