Earlier this year, Sifu developer Sloclap released its take on the beautiful game of soccer with *Rematch*. The game was an early success for the studio, though it did launch with a few issues. One of the main setbacks was that the team couldn’t get crossplay working in time for the game’s release.
Fortunately, the wait for this feature is now over. *Rematch* is kicking off Season 1 with the introduction of crossplay across all platforms. This new feature allows all *Rematch* players to compete together, whether they’re on PC (Steam or the Epic Games Store), PlayStation 5, or Xbox Series X|S.
Players can now come together for casual play or try out the new 3v3 Ranked mode. This competitive mode opens the doors for *Rematch* players to prove who truly has the best squads.
Alongside crossplay, the new Season Pass will also be available. It features a variety of cosmetics and arenas, including the frosty Iceberg and the sweltering Volcano, adding fresh visual flair to the game experience.
The omission of crossplay was noted as a downside in Shacknews’ *Rematch* review. However, the game also received praise for several positives, including its fluid gameplay, immersive environments, and a high skill ceiling.
*Rematch* didn’t take long to resonate with fans of the sport, hitting an impressive 3 million unique players within its first week. With crossplay now live and new content rolling out, the game’s community is expected to grow even further.
