Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar has spoken out against the misuse of artificial intelligence technology that has produced fake videos portraying him as Maharishi Valmiki. The actor took to X (formerly Twitter) to clarify that the clips resembling a movie trailer are entirely fabricated and generated using AI.
**Fake Videos Spread Misinformation**
In his statement on X, Akshay Kumar wrote, “I have recently come across some AI-generated videos of a film trailer showing me in the role of Maharishi Valmiki. I want to clarify that all such videos are fake and created using AI. What’s worse, some news channels decide to pick these up as ‘news’ without even verifying if these are real or morphed.”
The actor highlighted the dangers of such misleading content, urging both fans and media professionals to exercise caution before sharing or reporting on such material.

Akshay made a heartfelt appeal to media houses, stressing the importance of verifying information in the digital age. He said, “In today’s time, when misleading content is being produced at great speed through manipulative AI, I sincerely request media houses to verify and report only after authenticating the information.”
