New footage has emerged showing the fatal car crash that claimed the life of Vincent Zampella, the creator of the popular “Call of Duty” video game series. According to TMZ, speed appears to have been a significant factor in the tragic accident.
The video captures a red Ferrari speeding out of a tunnel on the Angeles Crest Highway in Altadena, California. Moments later, the sports car skids uncontrollably and crashes into the concrete barriers lining the edge of the road near the San Gabriel Mountains.
Within seconds of the collision, a fireball erupts from the wreckage. Bystanders quickly rush to the scene to assist, pulling a body from the burning vehicle. The California Highway Patrol confirmed that there were two people in the car during the crash: a passenger who was ejected and Vincent Zampella, who was trapped inside the car.
While the footage does not show the rescue in graphic detail, it does capture bystanders pulling the passenger away from the flames. Tire and skid marks are clearly visible on the pavement, underscoring the high speed of the car before the crash.
This section of the Angeles Crest Highway is notorious for risky driving and various stunts, making it a dangerous stretch of road. Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
