Legacy’s Aislin Oldach and Niwot’s Bella Berger, honored as the Daily Camera and Longmont Times-Call volleyball players of the year, led a group of 16 area players named to CHSAA’s all-state list. All were recognized as honorable mentions for their respective classifications.
In Class 5A, senior Oldach, playing outside hitter (OH), posted an impressive 42.2% kill rate on 372 attempts, leading the Legacy Lightning to the Granite Peaks League championship. Meanwhile, Bella Berger (OH/DS) had a standout season with 439 kills, ranking ninth-most in the state. She and fellow senior Elise Arends (L/DS) helped the Niwot Cougars reach the 5A state tournament.
Boulder’s junior Maja Giecold (L/DS/S) earned all-state honors after recording 286 digs. Broomfield senior Kendra Runyon (RS/S/OH) also made the list, contributing 236 kills and 213 digs throughout the season.
In Class 4A, Mead’s Alana Costello (L/DS) played a key role in leading her team to the state tournament with 375 digs and 38 service aces. She was joined by teammates Cailin Hall (S/RS), who tallied 195 kills, 86 aces, and 212 digs, and Rylee Klatt (OH), who posted 196 kills, 41 aces, and 204 digs. Silver Creek’s Avery White (OH/MH) also earned recognition with 191 kills and 154 digs.
Class 3A saw strong performances from Jefferson Academy’s McKenna Adams (MH), who had 55 blocks. Prospect Ridge Academy’s Brook Luhmann (OH/RS) contributed 216 kills and 51 aces, while teammate Molly McLemore (MB) added 66 blocks. Peak to Peak’s Clara Wright (MH) finished the season with 293 kills and 82 blocks.
Finally, in Class 2A, Lyons standout Michaela Coleman (MH) posted 264 kills and 76 blocks. She was supported by teammates Annabelle Hay (OH) with 237 kills and Audrey Voss (OH), who added 196 kills alongside 64 service aces.
These talented players represented some of the best volleyball talent in the area, earning well-deserved recognition on the all-state honorable mention list.
