**Silver Youth Festival “Yuvarang” Celebrates 25 Glorious Years at North Maharashtra University**

The poetess Bahinabai Chaudhary North Maharashtra University, renowned for its rich tradition spanning 25 years, is all set to celebrate the “Silver Youth Festival” under the name *Yuvarang*. This vibrant festival will take place from October 8 to 12, 2025, in the courtyard of G. H. Raisoni College, Jalgaon, bringing together 1,800 students from 114 colleges.

The announcement was made by Prof. Dr. Priti Agarwal, Director of G. H. Raisoni Institute, during a press conference held today. The event was also attended by Prof. Dr. Jayendra Lekurwale, Director of the Student Development Department of the university, and Prof. Dr. Sanjay Shekhawat, the Youth Festival Coordinator.

### Grand Inauguration on October 9

The grand inauguration of the Silver Yuvarang Festival is scheduled for Thursday, October 9, at 9 AM. The event will be graced by Maharashtra State Water Resources and Disaster Management Minister, Hon. Girishji Mahajan. The inauguration program will be presided over by Prof. Dr. Vijay L. Maheshwari, Vice Chancellor of North Maharashtra University. The chief guest for the ceremony will be Mr. Ashok Jain, President of Jain Group Industries, shared Prof. Dr. Priti Agarwal.

The term *Yuvarang* symbolizes a festival of youth, art, enthusiasm, and brilliance of talent. Over the past 25 years, this cultural extravaganza has become a platform that nurtures and showcases many renowned artists, writers, and cultural personalities. ### ‘Vande Mataram 150’ – The Central Theme

The 2025 Youth Festival pivots around the central theme of **‘Vande Mataram – 150’**. This year commemorates the 150th anniversary of the national anthem ‘Vande Mataram’, penned by Bankim Chandra Chatterjee. This anthem played a pivotal role in inspiring the Indian freedom movement and awakening patriotic consciousness across the nation.

To mark this historic milestone, the Yuvarang Festival will feature a spectacular confluence of artistry, culture, and patriotism.

### Special Theatrical Presentation: Marathi Musical Play “Anandamath”

A highlight of the festival will be the Marathi musical play *“Anandamath”*, written by Vinita Telang and directed by Ravindra Satpute. This production is based on the famous Bengali novel *Anandamath* by Bankim Chandra Chatterjee, which turns 150 years old this year.

The play is scheduled for the evening of October 8, 2025, at 7:00 PM in the Bankimchandra Chattopadhyay Hall of G. H. Raisoni College, immediately following student registrations.

### Extensive Participation and Organized Planning

Prof. Dr. Priti Agarwal informed that 114 colleges have registered for the festival, with a total of 1,800 students and managers participating. Additionally, 25 dedicated committees have been formed for effective planning and execution of the event.

### Closing Ceremony and Prize Distribution

The closing ceremony and prize distribution for Yuvarang will take place on October 12, 2025, at 10:00 AM. The event will be honored by the presence of several distinguished guests, including:

– Gulabrao Patil, Maharashtra State Water Supply Minister
– Sanjay Savkare, Textiles Minister
– Rajumama Bhole, MLA, Jalgaon City

The program will also be specially graced by the acclaimed Marathi actress Ketaki Mategaonkar.
