The first major update for Battlefield 6 is almost here, aiming to reshape how the game is played, how missions are completed, and what part bots have to play in all of that. It’s also coming alongside the game’s first season, which itself brings a lot of content. So, here are all the biggest changes in Update 1. 1. 1. 0 in BF6. Table of contents All the biggest changes in the Battlefield 6 Oct. 28 update Season 1 is finally here Movement, combat, and hit reg are getting smoothed over Various visibility and gameplay improvements to the HUD, UI, and the maps themselves The death of bot XP farms and progression overhaul All the biggest changes in the Battlefield 6 Oct. 28 update Season 1 is finally here The first season is coming alongside the new patch. 1. 1. 0, the first Season of Battlefield 6 is going live. It’ll start a few hours after the patch goes through, allowing everyone to get geared up and ready for a new map, vehicles, and other content. We’ll initially get the Blackwell Fields, which now has a new and flashy trailer, an extra ground vehicle (a jeep), and several new weapons, including a rifle, a sniper rifle, and a handgun. The season’s start will also mark the arrival of the first skins to the game, which are a bit colorful but retain the grittiness and realism that Battlefield 6 has been aiming for. Additional seasonal content will come in the coming months, so stay tuned for that. Movement, combat, and hit reg are getting smoothed over Many guns are being tweaked to align them with intended behavior, while shooting should feel more responsive. These chiefly relate to gun handling, aim dispersion, and hit registry, which haven’t been consistent enough since launch. EA has looked into these problems and is introducing tweaks to several systems, including “improved movement and animations” that’ll reduce the bouncing and floating issues, and “reworked weapon dispersion” that aligns gun behavior to what its description and design state, especially in cases of shooting after sprinting. Hits should also register more consistently after the update goes live, which’ll ensure your bullets don’t just disappear into an enemy instead of hitting them. Various visibility and gameplay improvements to the HUD, UI, and the maps themselves Tanks and vehicles refused to spawn on some maps, which should no longer be an issue as of Oct. 28. Smokes and lighting should also behave more consistently now but will be less persistent, clouding areas for much shorter and thus impacting any given area to a lesser degree. Some maps that were bogged down by vehicles refusing to spawn, like Mirak Valley’s Breakthrough version, will now function as intended and enable both sides to fight it out fair and square, instead of one team being limited by, essentially, a game-breaking bug. The death of bot XP farms and progression overhaul See this map? You no longer have to grind bots on it 24/7. Those servers who still run bots will award less XP overall, with most XP bonuses not applying to them. Progression itself will be significantly overhauled, with some missions and assignments requiring up to 90 percent less effort than their launch counterparts, which should discourage players from looking for nefarious means to complete them. BF6’s assignments were a major downside of the game, which Update 1. 1. 1. 0 aims to address. These are just some of the countless changes and tweaks coming with this patch, so you can check out the full notes on this link. Like our content? AI Learns to Identify Exploding Stars with Just 15 Examples
How can artificial intelligence (AI) help astronomers identify celestial objects in the night sky? This is what a recent study published in Nature Astronomy hopes to address as an international team of researchers investigated the potential for using AI to conduct astrophysical surveys of celestial events, including black holes consuming stars or even exploding stars themselves. This study has the potential to help astronomers use AI to enhance the field by reducing time and resources that have traditionally been used to scan the night sky.
