The leaked images show Lakshya and Ananya shooting together in traditional attire. In one still, Lakshya, dressed in a cream bandhgala with a maroon kurta, is seen riding a motorcycle with Ananya Panday seated behind him, draped in a maroon saree and adorned with jewelry. Another close-up shows the two sharing the frame while filming a scene, giving fans the first real glimpse of their on-screen pairing. Announced in November 2024, Chand Mera Dil created excitement at the time but updates about its progress have since been scarce. The latest visuals confirm that production is moving forward. While the storyline has been kept tightly under wraps, the film carries the tagline: Pyaar thoda paagal hona padta hai (One should be a little mad in love). Directed by Vivek Soni, the film was initially said to be aiming for a 2025 release, though an official date has not yet been locked. The fresh set leak has reignited curiosity around Chand Mera Dil, especially as it marks Lakshyas next big outing after The Ba***ds Of Bollywood and Kill, paired opposite Ananya Panday. Director Priyadarshan is presently helming his next film, Haiwaan, featuring Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan in the lead roles. In an exclusive chat with Pinkvilla, he revealed that Mohanlal will also be making a special cameo in the movie. In an interview with Pinkvilla, director Priyadarshan was asked if he had plans to make a film starring both Mohanlal and Akshay Kumar. He clarified that he doesnt make movies just to cast specific actors, but did confirm that Lalettan will have a cameo in Haiwaan. He stated, If youre asking about Haiwaan, Mohanlal is there in that film. However, what character he plays, I dont want to say right now. See, every time I make a movie, it is the story that excites me. I never think about actors. Priyadarshan further explained, First is always the script, then the actors follow. I cant say, Ill make a film with Mohanlal and Akshay Kumar together. You will never get a script then. Whenever you get a script, then go behind the right cast, thats the right way of making films. I have never chased a star to make a film, Haiwaan is an upcoming Hindi-language film featuring Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan in the lead roles. Directed by Priyadarshan, the movie is reportedly inspired by Mohanlals 2016 thriller Oppam. Produced by Thespian Films and KVN Productions, Haiwaan is slated for a 2026 theatrical release. The film also stars Samuthirakani, Sayami Kher, Shreya Pilgaonkar, Asrani, and Einar Haraldsson in key roles.
