Strechy first-person puzzler Stretchmancer picked up by Offbrand Games

Developer Triangle Wave has been hard at work on the concept of *Stretchmancer* for quite a while. Starting out as a game jam concept, it has since grown into a fully realized project that tests players’ puzzling and stretching prowess.

During Wednesday’s Day of the Devs showcase, Triangle Wave’s Adam Butcher announced that Offbrand Games, the label co-founded by streamer Ludwig, has picked up the game’s publishing rights.

*Stretchmancer* first began as a Ludum Dare game jam winner before the Triangle Wave team began work on crafting a fully fleshed-out adventure. The premise places players in the role of a reptile-like Stretchmancer, who can stretch and compress surrounding matter. Players must master these unique abilities to create new paths and solve multi-step puzzles. In addition, the Stretchmancer can use their powers for advanced platforming challenges.

This refined version of Triangle Wave’s game jam winner now features a full story about escaping the clutches of the Claustro Empire. Enhancements include voice-acted dialogue and an all-new soundtrack, enriching the overall player experience.

Offbrand Games was founded in June 2024, launching with *Rivals 2* as its first release. The label was originally created by Ludwig and Jason “Thor” Hall (also known as Pirate Software). However, Hall left the company following a controversy involving the “Stop Killing Games” movement.

*Stretchmancer* will mark the fourth game to join the Offbrand Games roster, following the releases of *Rivals 2*, *Aethermancer*, and *Bonnie Bear Saves Frogtime*.

*Stretchmancer* is coming soon to PC. Stay tuned for more updates!
