SIOUX RAPIDS — Sioux Central broke open a close game by outscoring Estherville Lincoln Central 20-2 in the third quarter, ultimately claiming a 63-34 victory in its boys basketball season opener Tuesday night.
The Rebels held a 29-22 lead at halftime, but that advantage ballooned to 49-24 with just eight minutes remaining in the game.
Sioux Central shot an impressive 57% from the field, sinking 24 of their attempts as they dominated throughout the contest.
