1985 Chrysler LeBaron Mark Cross Edition Convertible at No Reserve

This 1985 Chrysler LeBaron convertible was ordered with the Mark Cross Edition package and has a rich history, having spent time in California and Arizona before the recent acquisition by the selling dealer.

Powered by a turbocharged 2.2-liter inline-four engine paired with a three-speed automatic transaxle, this LeBaron is finished in a classic White Crystal Coat. The exterior features woodgrain appliques over tan leather and vinyl upholstery, which the dealer has sanded and whitewashed in preparation for sale. Additionally, the convertible top has been replaced with a white one to complement the car’s overall aesthetic.

The car boasts several notable exterior details, including a vented hood, a decklid luggage rack, a Pentastar grille ornament, quadruple rectangular headlights, and 14″ steel wheels with wire-style covers wrapped in 185/70 Uniroyal narrow-whitewall tires. The front brakes are vented disc units, while the rear features drum brakes, all supported by power-assisted rack-and-pinion steering.

Inside, the front bucket seats and rear bench seat are trimmed in tan leather and vinyl, with some visible cracks on the driver’s seat and center armrest upholstery. The interior appointments include woodgrain trim, cruise control, and an AM/FM radio. The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a digital speedometer, bar-style auxiliary gauges, and a driver message center. A label on the passenger-side strut tower indicates the air conditioning system was retrofitted in May 2021 to utilize R134a refrigerant.

While the passenger-side power window is currently inoperative, the car remains in good condition with 77,000 miles shown on the digital odometer. When new, the turbocharged 2.2-liter inline-four produced 146 horsepower and 168 lb-ft of torque, sending power to the front wheels via the automatic transaxle.

There is some evidence of prior paintwork on the hood, as noted by the selling dealer, and paint meter readings from multiple body panels are available for review in the gallery. Corrosion is visible on various underbody components, consistent with the car’s age.

This LeBaron comes with a clean Carfax report, free of accidents or reported damage, and holds a clean Arizona title. Offered at no reserve, this 1985 Chrysler LeBaron convertible presents a unique opportunity for collectors and enthusiasts alike.
