**Drishyam 3: Paresh Rawal Clarifies Reports About His Role in the Upcoming Sequel**
*Drishyam* (2015) was a major box office success, and over the years, it has developed a cult following. This growing fanbase contributed to a fabulous opening for *Drishyam 2* (2022), surprising both the trade and the industry. As the sequel emerged as a blockbuster, all eyes have now turned to *Drishyam 3*, which is scheduled for release on October 2, 2026.
Recently, there were reports suggesting that veteran actor Paresh Rawal might be joining the cast of *Drishyam 3*. However, Bollywood Hungama exclusively spoke to him to clarify the rumors.
When asked if he had bagged a role in the thriller, Paresh Rawal said, “No, I have not. There’s no truth to these reports at all.”
**Was He Offered a Role in Drishyam 3?**
Paresh Rawal revealed, “Yes, the makers did approach me. But I didn’t feel that the role was suitable for me. Maza nahin aaya (I didn’t enjoy reading about my part).”
He added, “But the script is very good. I was really impressed. However, even in a compelling script, you need a role that excites you. Warna maza nahin aayega (otherwise, it won’t be enjoyable).”
**On His Latest Release, Thamma**
The conversation shifted to his latest release, *Thamma*. Paresh’s performance as a father suspicious that his son has developed “punching machine-type teeth” has been well received. Smiling, he said, “Yes, I heard it is doing well.” He also mentioned, “I am in Ahmedabad,” suggesting perhaps he hasn’t watched the film just yet.
