Blue Jays’ Addison Barger launches huge 2-run HR in must-win ALCS Game 6

The Toronto Blue Jays are fighting for their playoff lives against the Seattle Mariners in Game 6 of the ALCS. They struck early with a two-run second inning sparked by contributions from the bottom of their lineup.

Addison Barger knocked in the first Blue Jays run and then came up again in the third inning to launch a massive two-run homer. With two outs in the inning, Ernie Clement hit a triple off Mariners starter Logan Gilbert. Barger followed by taking one strike before firing the next pitch into the crowd, extending the lead.

After disappointing performances to start the series in Toronto, the Blue Jays gave their home fans plenty to cheer about early on. The momentum continued in the fifth inning when Vladimir Guerrero Jr. added a solo homer, increasing the Blue Jays’ lead to 5-0.

With the score at 5-0 in this must-win game, the Blue Jays look to maintain their edge and force a decisive Game 7 in the ALCS showdown.
