4 wounded in drive-by shooting on Near North Side

Chicago police reported that four people were wounded overnight in a drive-by shooting on the Near North side, specifically in the Rush & Division neighborhood.

Shortly after 3:45 a.m., a gray Acura sedan approached the 1100 block of North Division Street, near a local gym. Someone inside the vehicle opened fire, striking four individuals who were on the sidewalk. The vehicle then fled south on Dearborn.

Among the victims, a 22-year-old woman suffered a gunshot wound to the right leg and was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in good condition. A 60-year-old man was wounded in the left thigh and was also transported to the same hospital, listed in good condition.

Two other victims, a 45-year-old man shot in the right foot and a 24-year-old man shot in the right arm, arrived at Northwestern Memorial Hospital on their own. Both were reported to be in good condition.

At this time, no one is in custody in connection with the shooting. Chicago police detectives are actively investigating the incident.
