Central Philippines struck by earthquake, 31 dead following recent storm

The epicentre of the earthquake was approximately 19 kilometres northeast of Bogo, a coastal city in Cebu province with a population of about 90,000 people.

The earthquake was triggered by movement along a local fault at a depth of 5 kilometres.

Tragically, the event resulted in the deaths of at least 14 residents in the area.
