Tata Communications, a key member of the Tata Group, has secured a multi-crore contract from the Goods and Services Tax Appellate Tribunal (GSTAT) to develop a comprehensive digital infrastructure. This project involves building an end-to-end solution encompassing network infrastructure, Internet of Things (IoT), cloud services, and security systems, all integrated with centralized management across various domains.
The initiative aims to accelerate and streamline GSTAT’s operations while ensuring seamless access for all its benches spread nationwide. With principal offices in New Delhi and 31 benches across different states, GSTAT plays a crucial role as the appellate body for resolving GST-related disputes.
### Strengthening Data Security and User Experience
A significant focus of the project is to fortify data security and deliver a simplified, user-friendly experience. Tata Communications highlighted that this prestigious, multi-crore win reinforces their position as a trusted technology partner for mission-critical national initiatives.
The company will implement a secure, scalable, and intelligent digital ecosystem that covers Local Area Network (LAN), Wide Area Network (WAN), Software-Defined WAN (SD-WAN), video conferencing capabilities, cloud services, and advanced security protocols.
### Automation for Greater Transparency and Efficiency
Beyond building the infrastructure, the project emphasizes automation to enhance transparency and operational efficiency. Features such as predictive analytics and chatbots will be incorporated to streamline processes and improve GSTAT’s overall functioning.
This upgraded infrastructure is expected to significantly improve the efficiency and effectiveness of GSTAT benches across India, thereby supporting better governance and dispute resolution under the GST framework.
