The sanctions war on Iran has resumed, and it couldn’t happen to a more deserving country

**Iran’s Decline Under the Mullahs and the Return of UN Sanctions**

Iran was once a very sophisticated country. However, that changed dramatically in 1979 when the Mullahs took control. While Tehran remains a fairly modern city, stepping outside its borders reveals the effects of nearly fifty years of Islamic extremism on the nation.

Adding to the country’s difficulties are the Mullahs’ genocidal ambitions toward Israel and their long history of fomenting terrorism worldwide. Taken together, these factors make Iran a nation in dire need of powerful intervention.

Donald Trump began such an intervention by partnering with Israel to dismantle Iran’s military capabilities. Israeli forces wiped out Iran’s defensive abilities, command structure—both personnel and infrastructure—and nuclear scientists. Following this, American forces, acting under Trump’s orders, delivered the final blow by destroying Iran’s entire nuclear weapons program.

At this point, it is somewhat surprising that one of Iran’s many Sunni adversaries in the region has not yet attacked.

But there’s more. As of 12:01 AM yesterday, United Nations sanctions that were once imposed against Iran have snapped back into place.

You may recall that in 2015, as part of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), President Obama released pallets of cash to the bankrupt Mullah regime and lifted all sanctions. Now, thanks in large part to Trump’s pressure, the Mullahs are about to feel the economic pinch once again.

The United Nations is set to reimpose broad sanctions on Iran due to Tehran’s disputed nuclear program. This move follows France, Germany, and Britain triggering a 30-day process to restore global sanctions—known as “snapback”—which ended on September 27.

The reinstated sanctions include:
– A UN conventional arms embargo
– Restrictions on ballistic missile activities capable of delivering nuclear weapons
– Additional measures aimed at curbing Iran’s nuclear ambitions

These developments mark a significant shift in international pressure on Iran, signaling renewed efforts to rein in the regime’s destabilizing activities.
