Veteran filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt recently shared some heartwarming thoughts about his granddaughter, Raha Kapoor, in an interview with Navbharat Times. He expressed his belief that Raha, who is about to turn three, could even “replace” her famous parents, actors Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt.
“Raha has that kind of energy,” Bhatt said. “Every generation is faster and ahead of the previous one. When I see Raha, I feel she has a unique energy.”
Bhatt described Raha as a “crossbreed” and “very special,” embodying the pride of India’s rich Ganga-Jamuni culture. He proudly mentioned that his own DNA carries the major influence of his Muslim mother, which adds to the legacy passing through the generations.
The filmmaker also took time to praise his daughters, highlighting their individual achievements. He pointed out that Pooja Bhatt has carved out her own identity and path in the industry, while Shaheen Bhatt is an incredible writer who courageously faces depression.
Speaking about Alia, he noted that she is excelling in motherhood, balancing her career and family life with grace.
Mahesh Bhatt proudly concluded that all three women — Pooja, Shaheen, and Alia — are exceptional individuals who live life on their own terms, continuing the Bhatt legacy in their unique ways.
