Swiggy’s Instamart has witnessed an unprecedented response to its first-ever “Quick India Movement” sale. Launched on September 19 and running until September 28, the debut event has generated a fivefold increase in traffic and record-high order volumes within hours of going live.

In cities like Noida and Lucknow, deliveries were completed in as little as 60 seconds, highlighting the growing efficiency of quick commerce.

**Electronics Category Takes the Lead**

The sale has been especially popular for electronics. Searches for iPhones on Instamart hit all-time highs, with phone orders increasing 20 times in the first two hours. Earbuds saw an even more remarkable 30-fold jump in demand. Large appliances such as mixer grinders and gas stoves experienced a massive surge, with demand spiking up to 50 times. This indicates that quick commerce is expanding beyond snacks and staples to include bigger household items.

**Home and Lifestyle Products in High Demand**

Home and lifestyle categories also enjoyed a substantial boost during the sale. Bedsheets orders grew 90 times across 124 cities, while yoga mats soared 100 times and sold out in 62 locations. Surprisingly, brooms became a breakout hit with a 40-fold increase in demand. Everyday pantry essentials like ghee, sunflower oil, and groundnut oil also saw high purchase volumes. Additionally, energy drinks experienced a 10-fold spike, complemented by strong growth in snacks such as makhana and cashews.

**Tier 2 Cities Drive Growth**

The surge in orders was largely driven by Tier 2 cities. Bathinda led the pack with an 18-fold jump in orders, followed closely by Ludhiana (15x), Kota (12x), Meerut (12x), and Amritsar (12x). These regions showed particularly strong demand for earbuds, cleaning products, and beverages, demonstrating that festive quick commerce is rapidly spreading beyond metropolitan areas.

**Diverse Categories Witness Significant Uptick**

Beyond electronics and groceries, other categories also saw remarkable demand increases during the Quick India Movement Sale. Learning kits jumped 120 times in orders, musical toys rose 80 times, and grooming products such as trimmers and face washes experienced strong traction. The “golden hours” of the sale were dominated by protein bars, soaps, and detergents, indicating that both aspirational and everyday-use purchases are driving high volumes throughout the event.

As Instamart continues to innovate in the quick commerce space, this festive sale sets a new benchmark for consumer engagement and rapid delivery, signaling exciting growth ahead for the sector.
