**Startale Group Launches Super App to Power Soneium Ecosystem on Ethereum Layer2**
Startale Group has unveiled a super app designed to serve as an all-in-one platform for the Soneium ecosystem. The app aims to facilitate token generation events (TGEs), airdrops, and rewards for Soneium users, creating a seamless experience within the blockchain network.
According to a press release sent to Crypto.News, the company launched the app on Ethereum’s Layer2 infrastructure with support from the Ethereum Foundation. This self-proclaimed “super app” is intended to become the primary entry point for consumers engaging with Sony’s Ethereum Layer2 network, Soneium.
The Startale App will serve as the official consumer layer of Sony’s blockchain, which has already processed more than 380 million transactions across over 5.1 million wallets. Soneium-native projects will use the app to launch airdrops, loyalty rewards, and other on-chain experiences directly to users.
### Key Features of the Startale App
Users will be able to participate in Soneium token generation events and receive priority access to ecosystem airdrops and reward programs through the app. A standout feature is the integration of Account Abstraction infrastructure — a blockchain technology that allows smart contracts to act as user accounts rather than relying solely on externally owned accounts.
This innovation helps eliminate traditional Web3 friction by removing the need for seed phrases, enabling gas-free transactions, and simplifying wallet management. Users can participate in multiple ecosystem events without managing several wallets.
The app also supports Mini Apps, allowing developers to build directly on Soneium without deploying third-party websites, fostering a robust on-chain ecosystem.
### CEO’s Vision: Removing Barriers to Web3 Adoption
Sota Watanabe, CEO of Startale Group, said the app is designed to remove “the final barrier” to Web3 adoption by tailoring the experience to attract mainstream users.
“Through our long-standing partnership with Sony and Soneium, we’ve built a platform that makes going on-chain as intuitive as opening any mainstream app,” Watanabe stated. He added that the app ensures interoperability across Ethereum and global ecosystems, including Japan’s regulated digital asset environment.

Currently, users can register on the Startale website to join the waitlist for the closed beta version. Those selected for the closed beta will receive exclusive perks such as STAR points and referral bonuses. Startale’s super app launch arrives amid rapid growth and regulatory evolution within Japan’s crypto and Web3 ecosystem. Serving as a central hub for ecosystem rewards and tokenized incentives within Soneium, the platform aims to bridge traditional finance and decentralized technology through Ethereum’s infrastructure, all while maintaining compliance with Japanese regulations.
### Strategic Partnership with SBI Holdings
Most recently, Startale partnered with SBI Holdings to develop regulated stablecoin infrastructure. This collaboration will culminate in a joint venture to launch a blockchain-based trading platform for tokenized stocks and real-world assets, further solidifying Startale’s role in Japan’s evolving digital asset landscape.
