Battlefield 6 Update 1.1.1.5 Patch Notes: Improvements to Redsec Battle Royale Match Flow, Squad Revives, and End-of-Round Transitions

Electronic Arts and Battlefield Studios have prepared one of the first major patches for Battlefield 6 since the launch of its free-to-play Redsec battle royale mode. Update 1.1.1.5 includes a range of fixes for the entire game, with a primary focus on balancing and enhancing the Redsec experience by improving match flow, squad revives, and round transitions.

Release Information

The Battlefield 6 Update 1.1.1.5 is scheduled to launch on November 11. However, its patch notes have already been released for the community to review. Alongside key Redsec improvements, this update addresses various issues present in other game modes such as Breakthrough and Conquest.

Major Updates in Patch 1.1.1.5

  • Fixed an exploit that allowed players to ascend and access unintended areas by hitting the XFGM-6D Recon Drone with the Sledgehammer.
  • Corrected an issue where Lock-Guided Missiles were not properly countered by enemy flares and other countermeasures.
  • Resolved vehicle spawning issues in Breakthrough and Conquest modes.
  • Addressed multiple Battle Royale problems impacting match flow, squad revives, and End-of-Round transitions.
  • Improved progression tracking, audio cues, and UI consistency for better clarity, reliability, and immersion.

Player-Related Fixes

  • Reduced weapon dispersion when transitioning from sprinting to firing while aiming down sights (ADS).
  • Corrected dispersion scaling to properly reflect actual movement speeds rather than assuming maximum movement speed for all stances.
  • Tuned landing animations to minimize excessive camera and weapon movement during and after landing when aiming down sights.
  • Fixed displacement issues with ADS aim during sliding.

Vehicle-Related Fixes

  • Ensured Lock-Guided Missiles are correctly countered when enemy countermeasures such as flares are used.

Gadget-Related Fixes

  • Patched an exploit allowing players to ascend to unintended areas using the XFGM-6D Recon Drone and the Sledgehammer.

Map and Mode Fixes

  • Resolved incorrect vehicle spawns in Breakthrough and Conquest.

Portal Fixes

  • Fixed “SpawnLoot” so it now correctly spawns Ammo and Armor.
  • Blocked players with community creations privileges set to Block from accessing user-generated Community Experiences when the party leader hosts a match.

Audio Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where activating the BF PRO Radio Channel via the Commrose did not play any sound.

Redsec Battle Royale Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where Redsec (Quads) matches did not end properly after the last team was eliminated.
  • Resolved a bug that caused squads to be eliminated prematurely if a player was killed immediately after mobile respawn completed.
  • Fixed instances where players became stuck in a top-down map view after redeploying.
  • Ensured players lose their Second Chance after redeploying and are transitioned to the End of Round screen on their next elimination.

Redsec UI Fixes

  • Corrected the Squad Placement screen to prevent all squad members from displaying the same highlighted stat.

Redsec Progression Fixes

  • Fixed tracking issues with “Battle Royal Master Challenge 4.”
