This 1971 Ford F-250 Custom 4×4 pickup was purchased by the seller on BaT in August 2024. Since then, it has been thoughtfully upgraded and maintained to enhance both performance and comfort.
Under the hood, the truck is powered by a 360ci V8 engine, which has been modified with a Holley Sniper electronic fuel injection system. A four-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case manage power delivery. Additional engine maintenance includes the replacement of intake manifold and valve cover gaskets in September 2025. It’s important to note that the seller reports a leak originating from the engine block.
The truck’s exterior is finished in a striking two-tone combination of Candyapple Red and Wimbledon White. This bumpside F-250 features a Styleside bed and is equipped with Western-style mirrors, manually locking front hubs, and 16″ steel wheels wrapped in Falken Wildpeak M/T tires, which were installed in 2024. Additional exterior features include a diamond-plate rear step bumper and a receiver hitch. Some wear is visible in the truck bed, with dents noted above the right-hand fuel door and on the left front fender. The red portions of the body also show evidence of paintwork, and the window seals have been replaced under the current ownership.
Significant modifications were made to the fuel system as well: the auxiliary fuel tank was removed, and the primary fuel tank along with its associated components were replaced and relocated, improving functionality and reliability.
Inside the cabin, the truck offers a bench seat upholstered in black vinyl, complemented by a wood-rimmed steering wheel that frames a sweeping 100-mph speedometer, an ammeter, and gauges for fuel level, oil pressure, and coolant temperature. Interior appointments include lap belts, a RetroSound stereo system with aftermarket speakers, and Vintage Air climate control for year-round comfort. Additionally, a Steerman Cycle electric power steering kit has been installed for improved drivability.
