Donkey Kong Bananza sales are bananas, hits 3.49 million units sold

It’s been in the name since the beginning, and now it’s a reality: **Donkey Kong Bananza** has sold like a banana bonanza. Nintendo has reported that the latest entry in the Donkey Kong franchise has sold almost 3.5 million units since its release.

Nintendo (NTDOY) released its Q2 FY26 earnings report on November 4, 2025. The report revealed that *Donkey Kong Bananza* has sold 3.49 million units since launching on July 17, 2025. While it wasn’t a launch title like *Mario Kart World*, it’s clear that Donkey Kong remains a must-own title in the eyes of consumers.

Today’s earnings report also highlighted that the **Nintendo Switch 2** has exceeded 10 million units sold since its launch on June 5, 2025. Additionally, *Mario Kart World* has reached 9.57 million units sold, maintaining an almost one-to-one attachment rate since launch.

*Donkey Kong Bananza* was released to rave reviews. Shacknews’ Donovan Erskine gave the game a 9/10, praising its quality and Nintendo’s signature charm. Erskine wrote,
“*Donkey Kong Bananza* has that Nintendo magic. There are sequences in this game that instantly crystallized in my mind as iconic Nintendo moments, and the studio’s expertise in 3D platformers makes for a heap of fun and challenging levels.”

With strong sales and enthusiastic critical reception, *Donkey Kong Bananza* has firmly established itself as a standout title for Nintendo this year.
