A beautiful white Iberian lynx is spotted for the first time in history, after long being thought extinct, bewitching the online world: ‘That’s an old, OLD ancient guardian. Look at the eyes. You can tell.. chills’

There are so many beautiful, rare wild cats out there that are just criminally underappreciated. Every time we come across them online, or a story about one of them pops up, we feel it’s our duty to give them the love and appreciation they deserve.

Take the Pallas’ cats, for example—the perpetually grumpy, round, fluffy cats that we wish we could have at home but simply can’t. Or the rusty-spotted cat, the smallest wild cat in the world. Don’t be fooled by their size; these tiny felines are incredibly experienced hunters.

Given our general obsession with cats and our job writing about them all the time, we thought we had seen it all. But no. Just like the rest of the internet, over the Halloween weekend we were blessed with a new wild cat popping up on our timelines.

And okay, technically, they’re not new. This species was already known—the white Iberian lynx. It’s just that no one had actually spotted one on camera before. Until now.
