There are so many beautiful, rare wild cats out there that are just criminally underappreciated. Every time we come across them online, every time a story about one of them pops up, we feel it’s our duty to give them the love and appreciation they deserve.
Take the Pallas’ cat, for example — the perpetually grumpy, round, fluffy feline that we all wish we could have at home but simply can’t. Then there’s the rusty-spotted cat, the smallest wild cat in the world. Don’t let its tiny size fool you; it’s a highly skilled hunter.
Given our general obsession with cats and our job writing about them all the time, we thought we had seen it all. But no. Just like the rest of the internet, over the Halloween weekend, we were blessed with a new wild cat popping up on our timelines.
Technically, this species is not new. It’s the white Iberian lynx — a species known to science but never before captured on camera. Until now.
