How to Complete the Straight Record Quest in ARC Raiders
As an earlier quest in ARC Raiders, Straight Record is, at the risk of a pun, pretty straightforward. The objective is simple: go to a specific location, interact with a few key objectives, and collect your reward. However, the objectives aren’t immediately obvious, so this guide will cover how to find and complete the Straight Record quest step-by-step.
Quest Overview
To complete Straight Record, you need to locate an EMP trap on Dam Battleground, disable three power sources, and then turn off the trap itself. The entire quest takes place in the northwestern portion of the Dam Battlegrounds, just east of the Power Generation Complex in the Victory Ridge region.
Victory Ridge covers the area from the Pale Apartments at the western edge of the Dam all the way to the West Broken Bridge in the north. The EMP trap is nestled south of the interaction point, situated between the West Broken Bridge and the Ruby Residence points of interest. You’ll recognize it by a collection of ruined buildings surrounding a central clearing.
Once you find the EMP trap, interact with it to start the next objectives: locating and turning off three power switches.
Where to Find the First Power Switch
The first power switch is located mostly due north of the EMP trap, perched on a ridge overlooking the clearing. If you approach from the south, you’ll spot the switch (which looks more like a box) glowing yellow at the top.
Climb up to the switch and interact with it to power it down. This action will progress the quest to the next stage.
Where to Find the Second Power Switch
The second power switch is situated on the second level of the ruined red building east of the EMP trap. To reach it, use the breachable power box to climb onto the upper platform, then carefully navigate across to the switch.
Once you find it, interact with the switch to turn it off and proceed to the final power switch.
Where to Find the Third Power Switch
The third power switch is located south of the EMP trap. To find it, follow the power cable on the ground leading away from the clearing. Along the way, look for a small electrical pylon and the cable running south from it.
Interact with the switch there to turn it off.
Completing the Quest
After disabling all three power switches, return to the EMP trap and turn it off to complete the quest.
Note that you don’t need to survive the entire raid to complete the quest. If you finish quickly, you can continue looting and fighting. Even if you end up back in Speranza courtesy of another Raider, you can still visit Celeste and complete the Straight Record quest.
